Iris ‘High Chancellor’ (Mid-Season Tall Bearded Iris)

Distinguished by its unique blend of warm and smoky tones, Iris ‘High Chancellor’ is a captivating mid-season bloomer that brings depth, elegance, and character to the garden. Its sophisticated colour palette sets it apart from more traditional iris varieties, making it an exceptional choice for collectors and garden enthusiasts alike.

The blooms feature rich bisque-to-butterscotch standards that contrast beautifully with the velvety slate-rose falls below. Just beneath the beards, a subtle blue blaze adds an unexpected touch of cool colour, enhancing the flower's complexity and charm. The muted burnt-orange beards provide gentle warmth, perfectly tying together the unique colour scheme. The Iris flowering period has the potential to begin late August and extend into late / early December. To ensure optimal plant health, orders are not dispatched until flowering has concluded, allowing the rhizomes adequate time to regenerate. We anticipate lifting and preparing orders from early February subject to weather conditions. If you live in a hot dry climate, we recommend not receiving your order until March. All rhizomes are professionally trimmed, washed, sanitised and air dried to ensure they are delivered in premium condition. For best establishment, the recommended planting period is February through April.
