Early Midseason Bloom

This dramatic tall bearded iris showcases dark red-violet standards with lighter-edged style arms topped by a delicate, fringed crest. The falls are a stunning satiny jet black, creating a bold contrast that makes the blooms impossible to overlook. Burnt persimmon-orange beards ignite the centre with vivid colour, while the plant carries medium purple-based foliage that adds interest even before flowering. Moderately ruffled blooms and a very slight fragrance complete its striking presence.

The Iris flowering period has the potential to begin late August and extend into late / early December. To ensure optimal plant health, orders are not dispatched until flowering has concluded, allowing the rhizomes adequate time to regenerate. We anticipate lifting and preparing orders from early February subject to weather conditions. If you live in a hot dry climate, we recommend not receiving your order until March. All rhizomes are professionally trimmed, washed, sanitised and air dried to ensure they are delivered in premium condition. For best establishment, the recommended planting period is February through April.
